كتاب عنوانه يدل على مضمونه ، ولا بد لمن تصفحه أن يغترف من معينه ، منهل عذب للشاربين ، ومورد سائغ للمتفقهين ، حوى درراً فريدة ، وأحكاماً سديدة ، كتاب لا يُمل حديثه ، ولا يسأم جليسه ، يتنقل بين فوائده ، ويقتنص من شوارده ، يعلم قدره من نظر فيه . جمعه مؤلفه رحمه الله تعالى من كتب شتى ، وأمضى في جمعه أنفاساً ثمينة من حياته ، أودعه فوائد يحتاجها المتفقهون ، ولا يستغني عنها المدرسون ، ويستفيد منها الطلاب المجتهدون . جعل كتابه كروضة غناء ، حوت أزهاراً متنوعة ، وكأنَّ المطالع فيه نحلةٌ تنتقل من زهرةٍ لأخرى ، تجتني العسل دون كللٍ أو ملل ؛ وكأنَّ لسان حاله يقول : احرص على كل فنٍّ تبلغ الأملا ولا تموتن بفنٍّ واحدٍ كسلا النحل لما رعت من كل فاكهةٍ أبدت لنا الجوهرين الشمع والعسلا الشمع في الليل ضوءٌ يُستضاء به والشهد يبري بإذن البارئ العِللا أودع المؤلف رحمه الله كتابه درراً متنوعة ، ومسائل وفوائد ، وتنبيهات وتتمات ، وفروعاً وتقييدات قَلَّ أن تجدها في كتاب ، جمعها أثناء تدريسه لكتاب « فتح القريب المجيب » للعلامة الفقيه ابن قاسم الغزي على « متن أبي شجاع » . فقد قال في مقدمة الكتاب : ( أما بعد : فهذه فوائد جمعتها وأمليتها أثناء تدريسي لـ « فتح القريب المجيب » لابن قاسم الغزي على « متن أبي شجاع » ، انتخبتها من بعض الكتب الفقهية المعتمدة مثل : « المجموع » ، و « الروضة » ، و « حاشية البجيرمي » وغيرها كـ « بغية المسترشدين » ، وأمليتها على الطلاب في حلقات التدريس بمنزل الحبيب العلامة الداعي إلى الله السيد محمد بن السيد علوي المالكي وذلك تتميماً للفائدة وابتغاء وجه الله . . . ) . مشى المؤلف رحمه الله تعالى في ترتيب كتابه على أبواب الفقه ، فجمع وأوعى ، وخلف ميراثاً نافعاً له ولمن بعده . إنما المرءُ حديثٌ بعده فكن حديثاً حسناً لمن وعى فهذا السفر النافع هو نفحاتٌ مكية ، حوت أنفاساً يمانية ، في فوائد فقهية ، لطلاب الشريعة المحمدية ، نسأل الله قبوله والنفع به .
