هذا كتاب جميل، شاعريّ، حزين على طريقته وقد قرأته شخصياً كديوان شعر، قول هذا غير مبالغ أبداً. - عبد الرحمن مجيد الربيعيّ
إنّ جميع هذه الألفاظ والتراكيب تعمل في نطاق إستراتيجيّة شعريّة واضحة، حالَ تحوّل كلّ منها إلى مكوَّن ما في لغة ثانية، تتجاوز بلاغة الجملة البيانيّة وتنخرط في شعريّة النصّ، كالإفتتاح بالتوكيد، وتعاقب الإستعارات، وتقابل الثنائيات والتوازي والتكرار.
وأحسب أنّ هذهِ الفقرة تكتسب شعريتها أيضاً من خلال وضعها في سياق إحدى الرسائل، بوصفها خرزة مُنضبطة بسلك العِقد النصّيّ، الذي يتّسع لألوان لا تحدّ من التشكّلات المصنوعة بقطرات الكلام للتعبير عن بحر الرغبة، كما يقول محمد صابر عبيد نفسه، وكما يفعل حقاً، وعلى نحو مُبهر في كتاب الرسائل. - فرج ياسين
في الرسائل الكثير من التأريخ لأشخاص تقاطعوا في حياتهم العجولة مع وجدان الشاعر الذي حفظ الكثير من اللحظات الحميمة وسطرها بالأزرق الفاتح بكلمات تفوح منها رائحة الوفاء، وفي الرسائل إخراج لبعض المناسبات الأدبية من إطارها الشكلانيّ الرتيب، بحيث تتحوّل إلى إشراقات متاحة للذاكرة المتوثبة للكاتب الذي يحوّل كلّ تلك الموجودات في مستودعات الذاكرة إلى كنوز تسبح على بياض الورق، وبحيث تغدو مادة هذا الكتاب أرشيفاً ادبياً رفيع المستوى يستحق القراءة لأكثر من مرة، ويستحق مبدعها أن ترفع له قبعات الخير. - أديب حسن محمد
