وقد كان اختيارنا للدراسة الميدانية عن الموالد لما تحتويه من دراسة المعتقدات والعادات واتقاليد الشعبية في مصر فضلا عن تناولها معظم ميادين التراث الشعبي كما يتضح لنا من خلال هذه الدارسة الميانية وهذا يؤكد أن الفكر الأنثروبولوجي قد اهتم فى القرن العشرين اهتماما كبيرا بدارسة التراث الشعبى.
