يهتم هذا الكتاب الذى بين أيدينا وعنوانه التنمية المستدامة والسياحة فى سيناء شمالاً وجنوباً دراسة أنثروبولوجية بتوضيح أهمية التنمية الإجتماعية بأنواعها المختلفة فضلاً عن إبراز أهمية مفهوم التنمية المستدامة والتى تهتم بمراعاة الأجيال القادمة فى مجتمعنا المصرى والمجتمعات الأخرى.
والكتاب فى صورته النهائية يتكون من ستة فصول فضلاً عن المراجع العربية والأجنبية التى إعتمدت عليها, فجاء الفصل الأول وعنوانه المجتمع السينائى شمالاً وجنوباً المشكلة والمنهج وطرق البحث والصعوبات التى واجهت الدراسة الميدانية.
أما الفصل الثانى وعنوانه أهم الملامح الأيكولوجية والسمات السكانية فى مجتمعات الدراسة فى شبه جزيرة سناء موضحاً أهم الملامح الجغرافية, وأهمية موقع شبه جزيرة سيناء, والثروة النباتية وملامح عامة للسكان والبيت والمأوى البدوى.
ويتناول الفصل الثالث وعنوانه التنمية والتنظيم القبلى فى شبه جزيرة سيناء التنمية الأجتماعية, تنمية المجتمع, التنمية المستدامة ومشروعات التنمية الحكومية ورأى مجتمعات الدراسة فى شبه جزيرة سيناء فى هذه المشروعات.
وجاء الفصل الرابع وعنوانه الأنماط الإقتصادية فى شبه جزيرة سيناء موضحاً هذه الأنماط فى شكل الرعى, والصيد, والزراعة, والتعدين, والتصنيع, والصناعات الأولية البدويه ودور المرأة فيها.
أما الفصل الخامس وعنوانه التنمية والسياحة والنشاط السياحى فى شبه الجزيرة العربية وغرف السياحة ومقوماتها فى شمال سيناء وفى جنوبها وأثر المشروعات السياحية فى إحداث تغيير فى المجتمع السيناوى.
وقد تناول الفصل السادس وعنوانه النتائج العامة للتنمية المستدامة فى سيناء شمالاً و جنوباً وقد أشار إلى أهم النتائج المتعلقة بالنشاط الإقتصادى, والنشاط السياحى وموقف المجتمع السيناوى من التنمية الإجتماعية والسياحية والنظرة المستقبلية لشبة جزيرة سيناء.
