هذه محاضرات أردت بها ان اقف الطلبة علي شيء من التفكير البلاغي عند العرب، لقد جرت العادة في درس البلاغة العربية أن يقف الباحثون عن أمرين اثنين ولا ثالث: أولهما: التعريف بأقسام البلاغة، وثانيهما: التطبيق.
وهو قلب للبلاغة، لأنها تصبح في إيديهم غاية تلتمس لها الشواهد، لا وسيلة تستنبط بها معاني الجمال في هذه الشواهد والامثال، ولا يعني أننا ما نريد في هذه المحاضرات، وإنما فتحنا الباب بما حاولناه من التماس أصول التفكير البلاغي عند العرب، شاخصين إلي الاصول الفلسفية لهذا التفكير.
من أجل ذلك كان لا بد لنا ان نقتبس للقارىء نصوصاً من علماء البلاغة بعد أن نمهد لها بالشرح والبيان، حتي يستطيع القارىء أن يألف أساليب هؤلاء العلماء وطرائقهم في التفكير، ومجمل القول في هذا التفكير أن فلسفة البلاغة قامت عند االعرب علي مطابقة الكلام لمقتضي الحال او المقام، والطرق المختلفة لتوضيح المعني الذي يراد.
