وعلى الرغم من أن ظاهرة العولمة المعاصرة ما زالت في صيرورتها تواصل التشكل المخطط على وفق ما يرسمه لها المخططون في الدول أو الجهات التي عملت على نشرها والترويج لها وتكريسها وفي مقدمتها الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية التي تعد الفاعل الرئيس في إنتاج مخطط العولمة لتعزيز هيمنتها وسيطرتها على العالم، فضلاً عن الجهات الأخرى التي تخضع لهيمنة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وتعمل على تكريس العولمة وفي مقدمتها الشركات المتعدية الجنسيات والمنظمات والمؤسسات المالية والإقتصادية العالمية، وعلى الرغم من هذا، فإن مصطلح العولمة غزا كل المجالات، وأصبح منذ بروزه مع مطلع تسعينيات القرن الماضي الشغل الشاغل لرجال السياسة والإقتصاد والثقافة والإجتماع والإعلام وغيرهم، وقد أدلى الجميع بدلوه كل حسب المنطلق الفكري الذي ينطلق منه عن مفاهيم العولمة ومضامينها وتجلياتها وإنعكاساتها التي بدأت تظهر للعيان في شتى المجالات السياسية والإقتصادية والثقافية والإجتماعية والإتصالية والإعلامية والمعلوماتية.
