وفي هذا الإطار تجئ هذه الدراسة كمحاولة للوقوف على مدلول مفهوم العولمة كمصطلح حديث النشأة والاستخدام، وكذا لرصد ظاهرة العولمة من حيث تطورها التاريخي وذلك من خلال استعراض الظروف التاريخية التي مهدت لها أو هيأت لظهورها، فضلاً عن إلقاء الضوء على المنطلقات الأيديولوجية الكامنة وراء هذه الظاهرة أو الباعثة عليها والتي أسهمت في تشكيل ملامحها، ولنختتم دراستنا بالتعرف على الأبعاد المختلفة لظاهرة العولمة ولآثارها وانعكاساتها على مختلف قطاعات الحياة الإنسانية.
