عبد الغني بن إسماعيل بن عبد الغني النابلسي الدمشقي الحنفي (1050 هـ - 1143 هـ / 1641 - 1731م) شاعر شامي وعالم بالدين والأدب ورحالة مكثر من التصنيف. ولد ونشأ وتصوف في دمشق. قضى سبع سنوات من عمره في دراسة كتابات "التجارب الروحيّة" لِفُقهاء الصوفية. وقد تعدّدت رحلاته عبر العالم الإسلامي، إلى إسطنبول ولبنان والقدس وفلسطين ومصر والجزيرة العربية وطرابلس وباقي البلاد السورية. استقر في مدينته دمشق وتوفي فيها.

إن هذا الكتاب الذي نشرف بتحقيقه وخدمته وتقديمه للأمه الإسلامية اليوم هو (مفتاح المعية) اسما ومضمونا، فإنه يفتح لقارئه المخلص باب الحضرة الإلهية والمعية الربانية، لأن مؤلفيه الإمامين سيدي تاج الدين الهندي وسيدي عبد الغني النابلسي قدس الله سرهما ولي عارف بربه تعالى، فهما ينضحان بالعلم اللدني والعرفان الصوفي فضلاً عن التبحر العلمي الذي تنبئ عنه ترجمتاهما بعد التقدمة.
وهذا الكتاب المبارك على الرغم من أنه ليس من المطولات قد حوى علوما غزيرا وتأصيلات علمية نادرة، فهو يشتمل في فصوله السبعة التي فصلناها في ضوء تقرير مؤلفيه على دستور هذه الطريقة النقشبندية العلية، لذا رأينا من واقع المضمون ولغة هذا العصر إدخال مصطلح (دستور) في عنوانه الذي يقتصر في غلافه الخطي على (مفتاح المعية في الطريقة النقشبندية) وفي داخل النص (مفتاح المعية في آداب الطريقة النقشبندية).
وذلك لأنه يتضمن أصول الطريقة وقواعد السلوك فيها لا سيما في شرح الكلمات الإحدى عشرة لرأس الطريقة النقششبندية سيدي الإمام عبد الخالق الغجدواني قدس الله سره. وكذلك يعرفنا هذا الكتاب بتحقيق إسناد الطريقة النقشبندية إلى سيدنا رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)، ويعرفنا بأصول الوصول إلى الله تعالى على منهاج هذه الطريقة العلية ثم بالآداب التي يجب على السالك التحقق بها لحصول الوصول المأمول.
