لا تستهدف قصراً هذه الوثيقة الدراسية تحت تعنوان "تصور حلول عملانية لقضايا اللاجئين الفلسطينيين في لبنان: وجهة نظر مسيحية"، التأريخ، أو التوثيق، أو استعراض اتجاهات القوى السياسية، والمرجعيات الدينية، والأنتلجنسيا الخبيرة المسيحية من الإاشكاليات الثلاثة التي لم تزل، وتحديداً منذ العام 1969 اتفاقية القاهرة، وما تبعها من تداعيات كارثية على لبنان واللاجئين الفلسطينين على حدّ سواء، عنينا إشكالية السلاح الفلسطيني، وإشكالية رفض التوطين، بل إن هذه الوثيقة الدراسية تستهدف البحث في العمق، وفي مقاربة تحليلية، في الأسس التي تحكم توجهات المسيحيين في لبنان تجاه قضية اللاجئين الفلسطينيين من جهة، كما أمكانات التحرك انطلاقاً من هذه الأسس من جهة أخرى. وذلك بهدف تعزيز ثوابت:
1- احترام حقوق الإنسان. 2-احترام سيادة الدولة. 3-احترام الدستور اللبناني، وقرارات الشرعية الدولية ومرجعية مؤتمر مدرير ومبادرة السلام العربية.
وإن المنهجية التي اعتمدناها، تبتعد عن روحية ترداد الشعارات، والاسترسال في النقد، أون ابتغاء المستحيل، وقد استندت إلى سلسلة مقابلات، على قاعدة أسئلة محددة، تتعلق بكيف ينظر المسيحيون في لبنان إلى هذه القضية، مع القناعة بأن أي مقارنة تبقى فاعليتها الواقعية في قدرتها على توسيع المساحة في المسؤولية المشتركة، ليس فقط مع الشركاء في الوطن مع المسلمين، بل مع جامعة الدول العربية والأمم المتحدة، وفيها لبنان عضو مؤسس، كما مع أصدقاء لبنان في المجتمع الدولي.
وتخلص الورقة بعد قراءة لهذه الاتجاهات، إلى اقتراح توصيات وآليات عمل تسمح بخدمة لبنان واللاجئين الفلسطينيين على حدّ سواء، وبالتالي المساهمة في تدعيم الاستقرار الوطني والإقليمي والدولي في قضية شائكة من قضايا الحل النهائي في الصراع الفلسطيني-الإسرائيلي.
