فؤاد بطرس إنه صنْعُ نفسه سيرةً في سفر مذكرات . من الألف إلى الياء خطّ أبجدية حياته روحاً وحرفاً . خطّط لمسيرته . وعاها . تأهّب لها . حاول . تأمّل . عزم . أقدم . من المدرسة إلى الجامعة ، فإلى وظيفة أيام العشر ، فإلى القضاء ، فالمحاماة ، فإلى السياسة والمناصب الحكم ، تلك رحلة العمر . فكان منها ما قد كان وما يزال معظم أثره وتأثيره إلى اليوم . حتى إذا تقاعد " المعلم " ، مثلما بات يلقَب ، لم يتقاعس ، بل استوطن شباب التسعين ، لم يفتأ يدأب ، يجدّ ، يتمثّل ، يتعالى ثابت الخطو على أرض الواقع .
