وأما بعد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فلا بُد للناس من أمير، فما هي صفات هذا الأمير وحدود مهامه القيادية؟.. أجاب الرعيل الأول من صحابة النبي بنظرية الإمامة بالنص تارة، وبنظرية العقد الإجتماعي بالإختيار تارة أخرى.
ومن هنا، قمت بالمقارنة بين هاتين النظريتين، وإمتدادات كل منها وصولاً إلى زمننا هذا، حيث ركزت في هاتين النظريتين على القيادة، وسمات القائد وصفاته وصولاً إلى نظرية ولاية الفقيه في عصرنا الحاضر، مع مطالعة كل ما سبق من الدليل.
