تراكمت عند المسلمين سنة وشيعة، آراء عقدية وفقهية وتاريخية، تجاه بعضهم البعض، ناتجة إما من نصوص غير معلومة الصحة والثبوت، أو من فهم غير سليم للنص، أو من وحي النزاعات والصراعات عبر أدوار التاريخ.
والآن هل يريد السنة أن يحاسبوا الشيعة على كل ما في تراثهم من مواقف سلبية تجاه السنة؟ وهل يريد الشيعة أن يحاسبوا السنة على جميع ما في تراثهم من طروحات وممارسات تجاه الشيعة؟
إذن والله يطول الحساب بين الطرفين. إنني أقترح أن يجعل الحوار ضمن إطار المستقبل، وما ينبغي أن يكون، وليس حول الماضي وما كتبه ذلك العالم، أو أفتى به ذلك الفقيه، أو تحدثت عنه تلك الروايات. فكيف يجب أن تكون نظرة السنة إلى الشيعة، ونظرة الشيعة إلى السنة الآن؟ وليس ما أنتجته الفترة السابقة، من أحاديث تضمنتها كتب السنة والشيعة، وفتاوى لعلمائهم الماضين.
وما هو المشترك الذي يجمع الطرفين الآن من خلال رؤية واجتهاد معاصر، وليس على أساس التبعية والتقليد للسلف؟
وهل هناك مصلحة دينية ودنيوية واحدة يتلاقى الطرفان من أجل خدمتها أم لا؟
