يجمع هذا الكتاب مختارات من كتابات الشيخ الشهيد حليم تقي الدين ومواقفه المبدئية الجريئة حول الأحداث الدامية في لبنان وما نشر له من تصريحات وبيانات ومقابلات في الصحف والمجالات المحلية والأجنبية، وما أذيع له من كلمات إذاعية وتلفزيونية، وقد غَزُرَتْ جميعها، خصوصاً في الأشهر الأخيرة قبل استشهاده، حتى أنه لم يترك فرصة أو مجالاً أو حادثة إلا وكان له فيها تصريح وموقف، وقد أصبحت يوميات، استقطبت الصحافة المحلية والعربية والأجنبية كما استقطبت القارئ في الوطن وفي الخارج. فتزايد الإقبال عليه حتى لم يكن يمضي يوم إلا وكانت له مقابلات مع صحفيين ومندوبي وكالات الأنباء، فلا يرفض طلب أحد منهم بل كان يعتبرها فرصة للجهد بالحق وإعلان الحقائق مهما كان الثمن.
