محمد حسين الذهبي عالم دين مسلم ووزير أوقاف مصري سابق ولد بقرية مطوبس كفر الشيخ عام 1915 وحصل على الدكتوراة فى التفسير والحديث عام 1944 ثم تدرج فى وظائف التدريس بالازهر وفى 15 ابريل عام 1975 أختير وزيرا للأوقاف وشئون الأزهر فشن حربا على الفساد وأحال اثنين من كبار العاملين بوزارتة للتحقيق و أقسم ان يحيل نفسه للتحقيق ان حامت حوله الشبهات.
و لم يمكث فى الوزارة كثيرا فخرج عام 1976 فعاد استاذا متفرغا بكل محمد حسين الذهبي عالم دين مسلم ووزير أوقاف مصري سابق ولد بقرية مطوبس كفر الشيخ عام 1915 وحصل على الدكتوراة فى التفسير والحديث عام 1944 ثم تدرج فى وظائف التدريس بالازهر وفى 15 ابريل عام 1975 أختير وزيرا للأوقاف وشئون الأزهر فشن حربا على الفساد وأحال اثنين من كبار العاملين بوزارتة للتحقيق و أقسم ان يحيل نفسه للتحقيق ان حامت حوله الشبهات.
و لم يمكث فى الوزارة كثيرا فخرج عام 1976 فعاد استاذا متفرغا بكلية أصول الدين، كان الذهبي من علماء الدين الذين قدموا خلاصة جهدهم العلمى لرفع الاسلام و محاربة التطرف فى شتى صوره فكان يرى ان الاسلام ينتشر بالدعوة الهادئة و الاقناع وليس الارهاب و لابد من تنقية الفكر الاسلامى من البدع و الخرافات والضلالة الا انه اغتالته يدى المتطرفين فى 4 يوليو عام 1977 واتهمت جماعة التكفير والهجرة في اغتياله، توفى الشيخ الذهبى و ترك لنا ما يقارب 15 كتابا من أهمها موسوعة التفسير و المفسرون وكتاب الاسرائيليات في التفسير والحديث.

قال رسول الله (ص) " لقد تركتكم على المحجة البيضاء ، ليلها كنهارها، لانزيغ عنها إلا هالك" وعلى الرغم من هذا إلا اننا - بكل اسف - تفرقنا إلى شيعة وصوفية ومعتزلة وما إلى ذلك من فرق تتبع أحكام صنعها العقل البشري وما انزل الله بها من سلطان . وفي هذا الكتاب دراسة مقارنة للشريعة الاسلامية في بعض قضايا الاحوال الشخصية وهي الزواج والطلاق والنسب عند كل من السنة وخاصة في مصر والشيعة ويأخذ العراق مثلا لما يتبع في تلك القضايا.
