يركز هذا الكتاب على كيفية تعريف مفهوم الاحتراق وطرق قياسه ومدى ارتباط الطرق المختلفة لقياس المفهوم ومدى ارتباطه بالاشكال الأخرى للاحتراق النفسى. اجراءات قياس المفهوم من حيث التعريف الاجرائى والارتباطات المعرفية بين اجزائه ومدى صدقه. مدى الارتباط بين مفهوم الاحتراق النفسى وبين الأشكال الأخرى من علاقة الأفراد بالعمل مثل الارتباط بالعمل والالتزام والرضا وغيرها من المفاهيم المشابهة او المضادة تأكيدا للصدق التميزى للمفهوم. مدى الثبات فى مقاييس الاحتراق النفسى بحيث لا تقل عن 0.70. الاهمية النسبية لمحددات المفهوم سواء كانت محددات متصلة بالشخصية او متصلة بالعمل او المنظمة او المحددات الثقافية. الأداء المفترض على شئون الحياة ووسائل هذا التأثير بما فيها مخرجات المفهوم والمتغيرات الوسيطة بين المفهوم ومخرجاته.
