لقد تطلب تحقيق مقاصد هذه الدراسة محاولة قراءة النسق الفلسفي السينوي ونصوصه السياسية بحيادية وشمولية، ومقاربته من مدخل تاريخي متعدد الأبعاد، وبإعتماد آلية تحليلية - تركيبية تنتسب للمنهج البنيوي وتنتمي إليه للتحقق من صحة فرضية مفادها:
"إن الشيخ الرئيس ابن سينا صاغ نظرية سياسية متكاملة عن دولة الشريعة الإلهية، ارتبط فيها البعدان الديني والسياسي للإجتماع الإنساني، وامتزج الإتجاهان الفلسفي والفقهي في الفكر السياسي الإسلامي بما جسد إيمانه على المستويين النظري (الفلسفة) والعملي (السياسة) بالإسلام عقيدة دينية، وشريعة حياتية، وتجربة إجتماعية حضارية، وعبر عن تجاوزه في كل ذلك للتعصب المذهبي وتحيزه وضيق أفقه".
وعالجت هذه الدراسة الفكر السياسي ونظرية دولة الشريعة في النسق الفلسفي السينوي في خمسة فصول: الفصل الأول: درس في ثلاثة مباحث المداخل السياسية والإجتماعية والشخصية للنسق الفلسفي السينوي، الفصل الثاني: درس في مبحثين خصائص النسق الفلسفي السينوي، وتقسيم العلوم عند الشيخ الرئيس وبعض المفكرين المسلمين، وموقع علم السياسة فيه، الفصل الثالث: درس في مبحثين أصل الإجتماع الإنساني ودواعي عقد المدن عند ابن سينا، وعلة إحتياج الإجتماع الإنساني المدني عنده للشرائع، وكيفية نشوئها، وأنواعها ومصادرها التشريعية.
أما الفصل الرابع: درس في مبحثين أنواع الإجتماعات المدنية وأنظمتها السياسية عند ابن سينا، وصورة المدينة الفاضلة عنده وسنتها وشرائعها وما تنظمه من أحوالها وشؤونها، والفصل الخامس: درس في ثلاثة مباحث علاقة الإرتباط الجدلي بين الشأنين الديني والسياسي في النسق الفلسفي الإسلامي، وصورتيهما العمليتين: النبوة، والخلافة والعلاقة الجدلية بينهما عدد ابن سينا.
