وادي ضمد واد مبارك، أرضه خصبة ذات جذب ورحلة وقراه رخية المعيشة معتدلة المناخ وبها أسباب العيش الرغيد وأهلها ذوي تميز وسيادة في شتى الأمور. وسكانه قبائل كثيرون وأنسابهم صحيحة ما بين عدنانية وقحطانية وفيهم المروءة والشجاعة والكرم ما ليس في غيرهم. وهم أهل إستقامة على الشرع المحمدي، وإهتمام بنظام الإسلام وقوانينه قولاً وفعلاً. ووادي ضمد وادي مشهور بالخير والبركة منذ القدم، وهو الذي يدور حوله هذا الكتاب الذي جاء شاملاً للجغرافيا التي قام الباحث بدراستها ميدانياً عبر المرور على قراه ولقاء بعض رجالاته لينقل منهم بعضاً نت تاريخه وأدبه وموروثه الشعبي وأسماء قبائله والأشراف فيه ومواقعهم...جاعلاً ذلك كله ضمن خمسة فصول. ضم الفصل الأول نبذة عامة السليماني، ونبذة عامة عن روافد وادي ضمد وحديث حول النباتات البرية والمزروعة في ذلك الوادي ثم موافقة تاريخية والأثرية المندثرة وغير المعروفة التي ورد إسمها في التاريخ والشعر ثم سرد للبقع والحل والمناجع التابعة لوادي ضمد والواقعة عليه، ثم مختارات لما جاء في وادي ضمد في الشعر الشعبي ودار الفصل الثاني حول أبرز الأحداث التاريخية في وادي ضمد زنبذة عن المدارس العلمية عبر تاريخ هذا الوادي. ثم عرض للأمثال الشعبية المتداولة فيه ثم حديث عن المنزل الشعبي القديم في الوادي وتراه بما في ذلك الماثورات ( الفلكلور)، الألعاب الرياضية القديمة، العادات والتقاليد وضم الفصل الثاني أسماء المدنوالقرى، بينما أعطى الفصل الرابع لمحة عن الحياة الإجتماعية والإقتصادية في وادي ضمد وعن المشاهير فيه. وتم تكريس الفصل السادس للحديث عنم السادة والأشراف في قرى الوادي: أسماء مواقعهم وأنسابهم.
