يتوجه هذا الكتاب إلى الجامعيين والعاملين الناشطين في تشخيص أوضاع الجماعات والمجتمعات المحلية ليسهم معهم في جهدين:
-جهد أول في تعميق الربط بين العوامل المحددة لهذه للأوضاع وبين أشكال الوعي المحلي السائد حولها من جهة.
-وجهد ثان في تعيين الحدود النظرية بين: الخصائص اللبنانية للأوضاع المتلائمة مع خصائص التشكيلة الثقافية للبنية الاجتماعية اللبنانية من جهة، وبين المحددات الإقليمية والعالمية التي تتواصل في ظلها خصائصها الأوضاع اللبنانية.
وحاولنا من خلال مقاربة ميدانية اجتماعية-ثقافية مهجوسة بالجهدين أو نربط:
-بين الثوابت السياسية ميدانية اجتماعية-ثقافية مهجوسة بالجهدين أن نربط:
-بين الثوابت السياسية والاقتصادية والثقافية التي حكمت تشكل الكيان اللبناني من جهة، وبين الانفعالات الإيديولوجية المتمثلة:
-في طروحات الإنماء المتوازن وتوسع القطاع التعاوني في تنمية الزراعة والأرياف.
-وفي شعارات مواجهة التمييز ضد المرأة الريفية على سبيل المثال، وكذلك في التوجهات الحكومية والحزبية في مجال إعادة الإعمار والتنمية المناطقية في منطقتي الجنوب والبقاع على سبيل المثال لا الحصر.
