Book Description
مصنف هذا الكتاب هو وكيع بن الجراح بن مليح، ولد بالكوفة سنة 129هـ، وتفقه وحفظ الحديث، وبره بروايته، كان كثير البكاء خشية من الموت، كثير الصلاة، والحج والعمرة. قال عنه الإمام ابن حنبل: ما رأيت أحداً أوعى ولا أحفظ". وقال ابن المديني: كان وكيع يلحن ولو حدثت بألفاظه لكاتب عجباً".
والكتاب الذي بين يدينا هو أحد الكتب التي خطها "وكيع بن الجراح" في موضوع الزهد، حيث ذكر أحاديث نبوية جاءت تحت عنوان عام وهو الزهد وتوزعت تحته عناوين فرعية جاءت في البكاء والضحك والموت، والنفس، وهو أن الدنيا والحب والحساب والنميمة والحسد، والخدمة والتواضع، والإنصات وغيرها.
