برزت عدة دعاوي يقوم بعضها علي تنقية علم الاجتماع من ما يتعارض مع الدين وبعضها الاخر يسعي إلي إنشاء علم اجتماع يعني بالمجتمعات المسلمة ، إلا أن هذه المحاولات - مع جدية من قاموا بها وحرصهم - لم تستطع أن تؤسس لبناء أطر نظرية تخرج بعلم الاجتماع عن الأطر الفلسفية العامة للفلسفة الوضعية ونظامها المعرفي وهذه الدراسة سوف تكون محاولة لوضع محددات منهجية وبناء أطر نظرية لعلم الاجتماع وفقا للقواعد العامة لقضية إسلام المعرفة ومحدداتها المنهجية وخطة عملها التي التزمتها لإسلام العلوم ووضوح الرؤية لعملية الأسلمة يتطلب معرفة المرجعيات الفلسفية التي يرتكز عليها النظام المعرفي في النموذج الوضعي والمحددات المنهجية والأطر النظرية المنبثقة عنه ومن ثم تلمس القواعد العامة للنظام المعرفي في النموذج المنطلق من قضية إسلام المعرفة ، حتي تستبين رؤية واضحة المعالم لقيام بديل معرفي ترتكز عليه هذه المحددات المنهجية والأطر النظرية.
