يتميز هذا الكتاب عن الميراث بالشرح الوافي الذي يسهل على طالب العلم فهمه وإستيعابه لما فيه من الأمثلة المحلولة والمبسطة، حيث أضاف المؤلف محتوى هذا الكتاب مواد قانون الأحوال الشخصية الأردني ومواد القانون المدني الأردني الخاصة بالميراث مع سير إجراءات القضايا وبعض القرارات الإستثنائية المتعلقة بالميراث لتميزه عن غيره من كتب الميراث.
وقد احتوى هذا الكتاب على جوانب أساسية من خلال ثلاثة فصول هي: الفصل التمهيدي: ويشمل مدخلاً إلى الدراسة موضحاً نظام الميراث قبل الإسلام وصولاً إلى بعض قوانين الميراث الفرنسي والألماني والإنجليزي والروسي حتى يتبين الفرق بينهما وبين الشريعة الإسلامية ومدى صلاح الشريعة على مدى العصور.
الفصل الأول: "الجانب الشرعي": بين فيه معنى الميراث وأركانه ودليل الإرث في الإسلام وشروطه وموانعه، ثم بين معنى التركة والحقوق المتعلقة بها، والوصية والميراث ثم انتقلت إلى أصحاب الفروض والعصبات وذوي الأرحام ثم بين معنى الحجب والعول والرد والإرث بالتقدير والمناسخة والتخارج والوصية الواجبة وكل ذلك مدعم بالأمثلة الكثيرة المحلولة.
أما الفصل الثاني: "الجانب القانوني" بين فيه المؤلف مواد القانون الخاصة بالميراث ضمن مواد قانون الأحوال الشخصية الأردني ومواد القانون المدني والأردني موضحة بنماذج تطبيقية سير بعض قضايا الميراث داخل المحاكم الشرعية.
