إن الاهتمام بأمور المعاش والاقتصار من الدين على ما يبلغ المحل أو يكاد أصبح سمة من سمات هذا العصر ؛ حتى فشا جهل العامة بأمور دينهم ،وحتى خفيت عن الكثيرين بعض القضايا الدينية المهمة ، حتى وصل ذلك إلى بعض من طبيعة عملهم دراسة الدين أو تعليمه . ولأن الميراث من الأمور ذات الصعوبة على الكثير من خاصة الناس ؛ بله عامتهم ، ولأن هذا العلم من العلوم التي حث النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عليها حتي قال : " تعلموا الفرائض وعلموها فإنها نصف العلم وهو ينسى ، وهو أول شيء ينزع من أمتي " من أجل ذلك كان لا بد من تدوين هذا العلم بأسلوب ميسر يتناسب مع جميع المستويات ، وقد جاء هذا الكتاب ليتناول جميع مسائل المواريث التي يمكن أن تحدث ، وذلك من خلال عرض القضية الميراثية وشفعها بالدليل إن تيسر ذلك ، وإتباعها بالأمثلة الموضحة لها مع حل الأمثلة حلاًّ حسابيًّا فرضيًّا ، وقد جاء الكتاب مليئاً بالأمثلة من أجل ترسيخ القضايا الميراثية في الذهن ، وقد اقتصر الكتاب في حساب الفرائض على أصل المسألة أو عولها أو اللجوء إلى أقرب تصحيح تخرج منه المسألة ، ثم اللجوء إلى طرق الحساب الحديثة ؛ وذلك حتى يسهل الأمر على من يريد معرفة علم المواريث
