والمؤلف في هذه الدراسة – وبفضل من الله تعالى - قد أبرز الأحكام المتعلقة بالإرث بطريقة ميسرة بعيدة عن التكلف والإطناب، دراسة مقارنة بما عليه العمل في القانون المصري، فجات الدراسة في تعريف علم الميراث وأهميته وخصائصه وحكمة تشريعه، وموقف الشرائع الأخرى منه قديما وحديثا، ثم جاء الحديث عن التركة وعناصرها والحقوق المتعلقة بها، وأعقب المؤلف ذلك بالحديث عن أركان الإرث وأسبابه وشروطه وموانعه، كما بسط الحديث عن الورثة ومراتبهم وأنصبائهم، فتكلم عن أصحاب الفروض، والإرث بالتعصيب، والحجب، وأصول المسائل وتصحيحها، والعول والرد، وميراث الحمل، ثم ختمت الدراسة بالحديث عن ميراث ذوي الأرحام.
