تنوعت كتب التراث فيما تتناوله من موضوعات تهم أبناء الأمة، ما بين كتاب عام يلم بأطراف علم من العلوم، وكتاب متخصص بقضية عامة، ورسالة صغيرة تركز على جزئية، تناولها علماؤنا من خلال عرضهم لموضوع عام، كل حسب وجهة نظره ورأيه، فجاءت تلك الجزئية مبثوثة متناثرة في كتبهم، فقام بعض الباحثين بتجميع ما قيل فيها، مقابلا بين هذه الآراء، عارضاً كل رأي بحججه، منتهيا الى ترجيح رأي منها واستصوابه.
من هذه الرسائل رسالة العلامة احمد بن المأمون البلفيلي، التي وضع لها عنوان: "استدراك الفلتة على من قطع بقطع همزة البتة"، حيث تناول فيها موضوع قطع همزة "أل" من كلمة البتة، أو وصلها، أي هل همزة "أل" فيها همزة قطع ام همزة وصل، واختلاف السابقين فيها.
وقد رأينا ان هذه الرسالة على الرغم من صغرها الواضح، وعلى الرغم من تناولها جزئية صغيرة تتعلق بنوع من انواع الهمزة، التي لا تمثل الا قطرة صغيرة جدا، لا تكاد تبين في ثنايا خضم علم النحو، جديرة بالتحقيق والنشر علها تكون مقنعة لمن يميل، من ابناء عصرنا، الى قطع همزتها أو إلى وصلها. ولأهمية هذا المخطوط قد حققه الأستاذ عبد القادر أحمد عبد القادر.
