هذه المُذكِّرات تعطي ومضات حول ما جرى، وتروي أحداثاً، وتحكي بدايات التأسيس للحركة الوطنية الفلسطينية الحديثة، تأخذنا المذكرات إلى غزة والقاهرة، ومنها إلى الكويت، وإلى بيروت، ثم إلى عمّان، فأرض الوطن وقيام السلطة الوطنية الفلسطينية، وتُفضِّل قبل ذلك حيثيات تاريخ حركة التحرير الوطني الفلسطيني "فتح" وإنطلاقتها.
إنها تقف عند محطات مهمة في تاريخ النضال الفلسطيني، وتحلِّق بنا إلى ما وراء المُعلن، ولتلقي الضوء على خبايا كانت حبيسة في الصدور... ولنقدمها للقارئ بأسلوب منْ عاش المرحلة وانصهر في تفاصيلها، وشارك في أحداثها.
إنها تؤرِّخ وتعلّل وتفسِّر، إنها تجمع ما بين الذاتي والنضالي، وتربط ما بين الخاص والعام، تصف الوقائع كما هي، تقدم العِبَرَ والدروس، أين أصبنا وأين أخطأنا، لِمَ اختلفنا وكيف اتفقنا.
تُحدِّثُ عن المقاومة الشعبية في قطاع غزة ضد العدوان الثلاثي على مصر سنة 1956، والتي اُعتُبِرتْ الإرهاصات الأولى لحركة فتح وتفْرِضُ أن يرتد الجميع عن مشاربهم الحزبية، وأنْ يرتبطوا بتراب الوطن.
تروي قصص وتجارب وذكريات مع الشهيد "أبو عمار" والشهيد "أبو جهاد"... مع شخصيات وطنية كان لها بصمات راسخة حُقَّ لها أن تُكرَّمَ وأن يذكُرها التاريخ.
إنها تحكي قصة المجلس الوطني الفلسطيني بكل مراحله وإنعطافاته، وتُبيَّن كيف تمكَّنَ هذا الصرحُ من الصمود في وجه من أرادوا له الإنحراف عن دوره ومكانته.
