وشمل الموضوعات الأساسية التالية: - السلوك التنظيمي الجزئي (الفردي) : Micro OB وموضوعه هو الفرد بصفته وحدة أو مجال للدراسة والبحث والتحليل، بما يمتلكه من خصائص نوعية ذاتية متميزة. وهو مشتق من علم النفس، والعلوم السلوكية. ومن الموضوعات والعوامل التي تكون السلوك التنظيمي الجزئي أو الفردي ما يلي : (الشخصية، الإدراك، الاتجاهات، التعلم، الدافعية).
- السلوك التنظيمي الوسط : Miso – OB وموضوعه هو جماعات وفرق العمل وتأثيرها في السلوك الفردي. وقد نشأ عن علم النفس الاجتماعي Social Psychology، وعلم الاجتماع التفاعلي Interactions Social Psychology، وعلم التواصل بالإضافة إلى علم النفس والعلوم السلوكية. ومن الموضوعات التي يدرسها : (جماعات العمل، القيادة الإدارية، الاتصالات التنظيمية، النزاعات، والضغوط التنظيمية).
- السلوك التنظيمي الكلي : Macro – OB وموضوعه هو المنظمات أو السلوك الكلي للمنظمة بصفته ناتج عملية تفاعل كل من السلوك التنظيمي الفردي، والوسط، والكلي. وقد نشأ عن الاقتصاد، وعلم الاجتماع Sociology، وعلم الانثروبولوجيا Anthropology، وعلم السياسة. ومن الموضوعات التي يدرسها : (الثقافة التنظيمية، والتغيير والتطوير التنظيميان، والتصميم التنظيمي) وغيرها من الموضوعات ذات الصلة التي تم دراستها والتي لم يتم دراستها والتي تدرج تحت مفهوم السلوك التنظيمي الكلي.
