موضوعُ التعليم واحدٌ من أهمّ لَوازِم التحضُّرِ وإرتقاء الأُممَ، سواءٌ أكان سبباً من أسبابهما أو نتيجة من نتائجهما، وعلى الرغم من ذلك فإنَّ إهتمام الدراسات يَنْصَبُّ غالباً على النَّواحي السياسية والإقتصادية وحتى الإجتماعية، بينما يأتي موضوع التعليم في نهاية قائمة الإهتمامات البَحثيّةِ ولم يَنَلْ حقَه حتى وقت مُتأخرٍ جداً.
إن أهمية موضوع الدراسة تكمن في الوقوف على واحد من العوامل الاكثر أهمية للصمود أمام تحديات الواقع الأليم؛ بعيداً عن حفظ ماء الوجه أو ذَرّ الرماد في العيون.
فتناولت الدراسة موضوع تطور التعليم في كردستان العراق كنموذج لإحدى المناطق الكردية في زمن الإتحاديين الذي كثر فيه الحديث عن المساواة والاخوة والعدالة وحفظ الحقوق؛ لمعرفة مدى جدواه وفاعليته في ذلك الوقت وكيفية تَأثيره وتَأثُّرِهِ بالأوضاع السائدة في المنطقة.
ولعل دراساتٍ ميدانية مستقبلية تقارن مدى الفارق الذي حدث في تطور العملية التعليمية في المنطقة ونتائجها عَبر نحْوِ قَرنٍ من الزمن!!...
