هذا الوسيط في شرح قانون التجارة البحرية جاء تلبية لحاجة المكتبة القانونية في الأردن ويتضمن شرحاً وسيطاً لموضوعات قانون التجارة البحري الأردني رقم 12 لسنة 1972 بالمقارنة مع غيره من قوانين التجارة البحرية العربية والأجنبية، فهو يشمل دراسة تحليلية للسفينة باعتبارها العمود الفقري للملاحة البحرية كما يشمل أشخاص السفينة أو أشخاص الرحلة البحرية ودور كل منهم في إنجاح السفرة البحرية كي تصل السفينة وحمولتها وركابهخا سالمين إلى بر الأمان، وإلى جانب ذلك فإن مادة هذا الكتاب تتناول استغلال السفينة بالتأجير وبالنقل بسند الشحن إلى جانب المسؤوليات التي تترتب على الناقل البحري، وإلى كل ذلك فإن الدراسة تشمل كذلك الحوادث البحرية واخسارات البحرية المشتركة والتأمين البحري.
ومن ثم تتضح أهمية دراسة هذا الكتاب لجميع المعنيين بقانون التجارة البحرية من القضاة والمحامين ورجال القانون وطلبة كليا الحقوق وكذا رجال التأمين البحري على اختلاف اهتماماتهم.
وأخيراً فإن هذا الكتاب يشكل اللبنة الأساس في دراسة قانون التجارة البحرية، ويعتبر مرجعاً هاماً لكل من يرغب في الكتابة بأحد موضوعات هذا القانون.
