"بين يديك كتابٌ بحثنا فيه عن الوجود وأحكامه، وما يستتبع تلك الأحكام. متوسّلين في ذلك العقل، وما يمليه منطقه. وموضوع البحث يصبّ في النهاية في خانة الإجابة على الأسئلة الرئيسية لوجودنا كمخلوقات منتمين إلى هذا الكون، وهي أهمّ أسئلة يطرحها الإنسان العاقل. اتّبعنا في البحث عدّة مستويات من الاستدلال، ويبتدئ البحث بالمسألة الأنطولوجية (الوجودية) بالضرورة، أي البحث عن أحكام الوجود بما هو وجود. وآثرنا أن نمشي خطوةً خطوة، بحيث تكون كل خطوة مستدَلًا عليها ومبرهنةً بالعقل فقط، وأن نستنتج ما يعطيه الدليل بالقدر العادل، فلا نحمّل الدليل نتيجةً أكبر من المدعى أو نكلّفه بأكثر مما يحتمله؛ وبالتالي فإن هذا الكتاب يعتبر دقيقًا في معطياته، حذرًا في استنتاجاته، لا يريد استمالة العاطفة، أو تملُّق الهوى، أو تقليد السلف، بل يبتدئ والذهن صافٍ من أي فكرة، ليس في أفق مبتغاه أي حكم أو عقيدة، إنما يريد أن يتبع الدليل وما يعطيه فقط. يبتدئ بالشك والجهل، ويمر بالتفكير والتأمل، وينتهي بالعلم. ينطلق باللا أدرية، ويمارس ما أُعطي من قدرة إدراكية مفكرة لكي يدري، إنْ استطاع ذلك. يمتاز الكتاب بأنه صياغة جديدة لما يُصطلح عليه ""الإلهيات بالمعنى الأخص""، وأدخلنا اللغة الرياضياتية في البحث، التي طالما آمنا بأنها لغة يجب أن تصاغ الفلسفة بها قدر المستطاع. "
