أصل هذا الكتاب (مقالاً) للأستاذ محمد سعيد العرفي من ضمن سلسلة مقالات نُشرت في مجلة الرابطة الإسلامية سنة (1352ه). وجاء بعنوان "المدارس الأجنبية: المسيحية والعلمانية .. أعمال المبشرين بالنصرانية".
وفي هذا الكتاب/ المقال يبرز موقف المؤلف من المدارس الأجنبية وإرساليات التبشير في البلاد الإسلامية حيث اعتبر أن لها ميزتين: "مزية تشييد ومزية هدم، وبالأحرى ميزتي تحليل وتركيب". أما عن وظائف المدرسة الأجنبية: "فهي وضع النير الأوروبي في أعناق المسلمين أولاً، وانحلال الرابطة الإسلامية ثانياً، والتبشير بالنصرانية ثالثاً، وهو الذي يظهر ويختفي على حسب الفرصة". أما الحجة على ما يقول المؤلف فيوردها مما نشرته صحيفة المؤيد المصرية ومما ترجمه عن مجلة العالم الإسلامي الإفرنسية ونشرته تباعاً في سنتها الثالثة والعشرون تحت عنوان (الغارة على العالم الإسلامي)، حيث يورد مقتبسات مما جاء في الصحف والمؤتمرات الدائرة في بدايات القرن العشرين، وهي مرحلة كانت نقطة تحوّل في تاريخ البلاد العربية والإسلامية، حيث خرج العثماني ودخل الأوروبي، وبرزت حركات تحرر، وأزمات إجتماعية وسياسية رافقت تلك المرحلة، يعزوها المؤلف لتلك الإرساليات التي يشكك في أغراضها ويدعو إلى مقاطعتها " ... فيجب على كل مسلم أن يعلم ويعتقد أنها آلة تخريب للديانة الإسلامية ليحاربها ويلزم كل وطني أن يعرف أنها مقدمة لاستعباد أمته، والإستيلاء على بلاده ...".
