لقد بينت أركيولوجيا إنتاج المعنى في الثقافة العربية، أن هذا الأمر لم يتغير في العمق وبقي أسيراً للمرجعية وللتعالي الأنطولوجي وللتأسيس النصي؛ نجد هذا في نظام الفكر الديني القديم كما في نظام الفكر الإيديولوجي الحديث، في الحالتين معاً، المعنى وجود مسبقاً وجاهز في النص المقدس أو النظرية الإيديولوجية "العلمية"؛ هذا يعني، بالتالي، أن الحقيقة لم تكن وليدة البحث وإنما كانت نتيجة للتأويل الممارس على النصوص المرجعية.
من هنا إنغلاق هذه الثقافة على نفسها أمام العالم، وتشرنقها داخل المدونة النصية بمعزل عن جلبة التاريخ الفعلي، هذا ما جعل الفكر النقدي العربي المعاصر الذي نتناول بعض أوجهه الهامة هنا، يعتمد آلة التفكيك والتعرية الحفرية سبيلاً إلى فضح البنية العامة لهذه الثقافة السائدة، بوصفها منظومة تضمر عنفاً إزاء حرية البحث ومغامرة الخروج من الأسيجة المغلقة، وتضمر إستبعاداً ضمنياً للفرد من ساحة الفاعلية والإبداع وإبتكار الحياة في ألق المغامرة الكيانية.
