فقد آخر الحركات الأيديولوجية الكبيرة الإعتداد بنفسها وشعورها بمنعتها. إن هذا الإنهيار الداخلي السريع المتلاحق هو فشل ادعائها السياسي الخارجي بالشرعية فمعرفة إذا كانت الشيوعية قضيت نحبها أن لم نعرف أن الجوهر الأوغر لها قد ذهب. ما الذي شكل نواة الحركة الشيوعية وبدونه تحتفظ بزخارفها الخارجية فقط؟ الأكثر أهمية، ماذا يعنى زوال هذه الحركة الأيديولوجية بالنسبة لعصر ايديولوجية انتجها وانتج كل الحركات الأخرى؟ ماذا يعنى الإيمان بالقوة المطلقة الفعلية للتكنولوجيا في أكثر الأيديولوجيات نجاحا وعالمية؟ هل بدأنا في رؤيتها تترنح؟ هل المكانة المهيبة للإنسان الصانع قد تزحزحت عن مكانها، وماذا لو تم وضع القدرة المطلقة للبشرية في وسط عالمنا؟ هل هناك الآن مكان لله الذي خلق العالم الذي يثابر بنو البشر للسيطرة عليه؟ هل وصلنا إلى النقطة التى منها نستطيع أن نعترف أنه يمكننا فقط التعامل مع الأغنياء والحقيقة الرائعة التى تلقيناها ولم نخلقها؟
