لا يشك أحد في أن للقصص تأثيرًا كبيرًا على النفوس، وأن الناس صغارًا وكبارًا يتشوقون لسماع الحكايات والقصص في غالب الأوقات؛ ولذلك فإننا نجد أن القرآن الكريم قد أفاض في ذكر قصص الأمم السابقة والشخصيات العديدة لنعتبر بها. ومن المعلوم أيضًا أن الإنسان بطبعه يحب الاقتداء بالأفضل، والتشبه بالشخصيات العظيمة التي تركت أثرها في النفوس على مر الأجيال. ولما كانت التوبة من المعاصي والذنوب من أعظم نعم الله على البشر، فقد كان لكثير من التائبين قصص وعبر تبكي عند سماعها العيون، وترتجف لوقعها القلوب، فما أجمل أن نقتدي بالتائبين العائدين لربهم!
وهذا هو كتاب «التوابين» لشيخ الإسلام موفق الدين بن قدامة المقدسي، وهو كتاب مهم في مجاله، ذكر فيه مصنفه من حكايات التائبين العائدين لربهم بعد بُعدهم وانغماسهم في الشهوات ما تأنس له النفوس وتسعد به، وبيَّن كيف أن حلاوة القرب من الله تعالى جعلت التائبين يزهدون في متاع الدنيا، ويقبلون على الله والدار الآخرة. وفي هذا الكتاب الذي تسعد بتقديمه «دار الفاروق للاستثمارات الثقافية»، نجد أن مؤلفه : لم يكتفِ بذكر صنف معين من التوابين، بل رتبه ترتيبًا فريدًا إلى أقسام، يحتوي كل منها على مجموعة من ذكر قصص التائبين؛ فقد بدأ بذكر الملائكة عليهم السلام، فذكر قصة هاروت وماروت، ثم أعقب ذلك بذكر قصص التائبين من الأنبياء عليهم السلام، ثم ذكر التائبين من ملوك الأمم الماضية، ثم الصحابة الكرام، ثم التابعين، فمن بعدهم من عوام الناس.
فما من أحد إلا وهو بحاجة إلى التوبة والرجوع إلى الله، وهذا الكتاب هو صيحة تذكير لنا بأن باب التوبة مفتوح، لا يحول بينك وبينه أحد، ويؤكد على ذلك في كل سطر من سطوره الرائعة.
