ان كثير من الناس بل اغلبهم قد يسارعون الى سوء الظن بالناس فيسئ الظن بمجرد الرؤية او السماع او الإشاعة وهذا لم يكن سلوك المسلمين الأولين ولا التابعين ولا العلماء من العالمين فقد كانوا يحسنون الظن ويرفضون مسيئة ويرمونه بالمقت وعدم الانتفاع بالعلم والعمل وكانوا يحثون من يجتمع بهم على دوام النظر فى محاسن المسلمين والتعامي عن مساوئهم وان يرجى لهم قبول التوبة ولو فعلوا من معاص أهل الإسلام ما فعلوا . وفى هذا الكتاب سردا لبعض الأمثال على حسن الظن وشرح مفصل لمعناه وتفسيره ومعنى سوء الظن والفرق بينهما حاتأ على حسن الظن منفرا من سوءه.
