هذا الجزء الرابع من سلسلة يمانيات، يتضمن أوراقاً وكتابات منشورة، وأبحاثاً ودراسات أخرى، شارك بها المؤلف في مؤتمرات وندوات دولية وأكاديمية، في بلده اليمن وفي السعودية ومصر وغيرها، بمناسبات ومواضيع مختلفة.
حرص المؤلف – كما في الأجزاء السابقة – على تحقيق وثائق يمنية تاريخية نشرها أول مرة، ومنها وثيقتان هامتان؛ الأولى تتناول موقف الإمام يحيى حميد الدين من وعد بلفور وزير خارجية بريطانيا الذي أبرمه عام 1917م فواجهه الإمام بحزم، ومنع هجرة يهود اليمن إلى فلسطين. والوثيقة الأخرى كتاب الإمام يحيى عام 1947م الموجّه إلى الجنرال مارشال وزير خارجية الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية لتأسيس علاقة دبلوماسية بين البلدين.. وطلب دعمه لليمن في الانضمام إلى الأمم المتحدة.
وضم هذا الجزء الرابع من اليمانيات كذلك أوراقاً وخُطباً في مناسبات وأنشطة ثقافية قامت بها ((مؤسسة اليمن للثقافة والتراث)) وشاركت فيها .. هذا بالإضافة إلى ما في الكتاب من تأبين عدد من أعلام يمنيين راحلين أو مستشرقين ربطتهم باليمن علاقات ما في الفترة التي يتناولها الكتاب، والإشادة بدورهم.
