روائي كويتي من مواليد عام 1958 حصل على بكالوريوس الهندسة المدنية من جامعة الكويت عام 1982 بدأ الكتابة الأدبية في أثناء الدراسة الجامعية في منتصف السبعينات. أصدر ست مجموعات قصصية منها: “أبوعجاج طال عمرك”، “أغمض روحي عليك”، “مرآة الغبش”، “حكايا رملية”، “سرقات صغيرة”. وأصدر أربع روايات منها: “ظل الشمس”، “رائحة البحر”، “الثوب”، ترجمت بعض أعماله إلى الإنجليزية والفرنسية والألمانية رأس لجنة التحكيم لجائزة البوكر العربية فى دورتها الثالثة 2010.

هذه الدراسة وأمثالها، تساعد وتقوم بالدور الكبير الذي كان سقراط يتحدث عنه، وهو حاجتنا إلى (قابلة)، فكما أن القابلة لا تصنع الولادة ولكنها تساعد الطبيعة لتفعل فعلها، فإن هذه الدراسة تعدّ المبدع أعداداً مناسباً ومفيداً لمقابلة لحظة الإبداع.
