"وضعت الشرائع لمصالح العباد في الحياة وبعد الممات".
وقد ابدع الشاطبي في حجته في تأييد هذا الرأي، وفي شرحه مقاصد الشريعة، وقسم كتابه إلى قسمين: قصد الشارع، ومقاصد المكلّف.
والشاطبي المتوفي سنة 790ه، هو أبو إسحق، إبراهيم بن موسى اللخمي الغرناطي من أشهر علماء الأصول، وله عدة مؤلفات أبدع فيها واشتهر، ومنها هذا الكتاب.
وبما أن الكتاب عميق المعاني، صعب الإستيعاب، وهو أهم كتاب في موضوعه، فقد عمد المعتني بدراسته، أ.د. أسعد السحمراني الأستاذ الجامعي المختص بالفلسفة والعقائد والأديان، إلى شرح مصطلحاته، وتبيان معانيه ومراميه، وتخريج آياته وأحاديثه وعلّق على مفاهيمه التي تحتاج إلى توضيح أو تعليق بلغة سهلة واضحة.
وختم بتحليل للمقاصد التي ذكرها الشاطبي، وأضاف إليها بحثاً عن مقاصد الشريعة للإنسان والمجتمع، إذ لم يتناول الأصوليون هذا البحث سابقاً، على أهميته، فالإنسان يعيش في مجتمع، وللشارع مقاصد فيه لا تقل أهمية عن المقاصد للفرد.
وبذلك نستطيع أن نفخر بتقديم كتاب جامع شامل للمقاصد الشرعية للإنسان والمجتمع.
