قصدت في هذا الكتاب، فتح باب النظر في علم مقاصد اللغة ودورها في فهم الخطاب بصفة عامة، والخطاب الشرعي بصفة خاصة، وقد أشرت إلى أهميتها النظرية، والتطبيقية مركزاً على النصوص والقواعد والعقود، متأملاً في آراء المنظرين والمفكرين في علوم مختلفة قصد الوصول إلى إطار عملي، قد يفيد الباحثين المدققين أكثر مني في مادته وآفاقه العلمية المتجددة.
فجاء الكتاب مركزاً على أفكار ثلاث يندمج بعضها في بعض عن طريق التعلق: وهي علاقة القصد اللغوي بالفهم، وعلاقته بالتداول، وعدم قبوله بالإعتباط؛ فلا يتحقق القصد في اللغة إلا بالفهم، ولا يكون نجاح هذا الفهم إلا بالتداول وهي أفكار استنتجت منها:
-إفتقار مناهج الدراسات اللغوية الحالية إلى الإجتهاد في مقاصد اللغة، التي بواسطتها نفهم مواطن الضّعف والقوّة في الدراسات النحوية الحالية.
-إن تراثنا العلمي اللغوي يزخر بنماذج من الإجتهادات العلمية التي كان لها إسهام في إستثمار النصوص وإستنباط المعاني، بضوابط تضمن الإيفاء بحق هذه المعاني، وتحفظ الإستنباط من الزيغ أو التفريط، ومن هذه الضوابط؛ ضابط الوعي بخصائص اللغة، وبدلالاتها الإفرادية والتركيبية في جميع مجالات التخاطب.
-إن وجود طفرة هائلة من النصوص المختلفة، والمصطلحات العلمية الدقيقة ضمن علوم متنوعة، دليل على وجود مستويات نظرية وتطبيقية في علوم الشريعة، تنتظر من يقرأ مقاصدها اللغوية، ويجتهد في فهم أحكامها المختلفة.
