هذا الكتاب ديوان عمرو بن كلثوم وهو شاعر يضرب به المثل في الفخر, وقد جمع ديانه من قبل المستشرق الألماني كرنكو, ولكن طبعته نفذت فجاء المؤلف ليسد ذلك الفراغ وأضاف شعراً لعمرو لم يهتد إليه كرنكو, إضافة إلى الشروح الجديدة والتعليقات الحسنة والتحقيقات. ويتحدث الكتاب عن عمرو بن كلثوم ولادته وأسرته وفروسيته ووفاته وعقيدته وقبيلته وديوانه وشعره ومعلقته وسبب نظمها ثم يسرد ديوان مسلسلاً القوافي تسلسلاً أبجدياً.
