لم يكن يتوقع المقتلعون من أرضهم أن رحلة الغياب القسري ستطول كل هذه المدة، وأن مسيرة الآلام ستتعاظم بهذا القدر من القسوة، وأن درب الجلجلة يمتد ويمتد دون أمل قريب، وأن استضافتهم في لبنان ستمتد سنوات وسنوات، لدرجة أصبح وجودهم موضوعاً خلافياً بإمتياز بعد أن كان في بدايات النكبة مجالاً للتآزر والتضامن والتلاقي المشترك.
فكيف يمكن ان يحدد اللبنانيون والفلسطينيون الأطر الناظمة التي تحكم العلاقات بينهم بعيداً عن التوتر وردات الفعل والأحكام المسبقة، بهدف الوصول إلى أسس سياسية وعقلانية تخدم قضية الشعبين وتزيل رواسب الماضي ومآسيه.
