إن فكرة النتيجة الجرمية كانت موضوع مناقشات فقهية واسعة لا سيما أنها تتعلق بالأركان العامة للجريمة ومنها البحث في الشروع وعلاقة السببية وتقسيم الجرائم إلى أشكالها المختلفة، كما في تقسيمها إلى جرائم ضرر وجرائم خطر وهذا ما يرتبط بالركن المادي، وبمدى تعلقها بالركن المعنوي فإن البحث يثور بشأنها بصدد القصد الجنائي والخطأ غير العمدي هذا إضافة لأمور أخرى لا علاقة لها بالأركان العامة ومنها زمان ومكان إرتكاب الجريمة.
ورغم ما كتب في شأن هذه الفكرة فأنها ما زالت يحف بها الغموض وعدم الدقة، لهذا تناولها المؤلف يسهم في توضيحها، وعلى وفق مقتضيات الموضوع توزعت إلى أربعة فصول يتقدمها فصل تمهيدي تناول فيه المؤلف الأركان العامة للجريمة ومدى علاقتها بموضوع البحث.
وتناول في الفصل الأول مدلول النتيجة وماهيتها، أما الفصل الثاني سيكون لمدى لزوم النتيجة لقيام الركن المادي وخصص الفصل الثالث لمدى لزوم النتيجة لقيام الركن المعنوي، أما الفصل الرابع فكرسه لبيان أثار النتيجة.
