شهد القرن العشرون خاصة السنوات الأخيرة منه تطورات هائلة جدا، ليس بوسع العقل البشري إدراكها جميعا فقد ظهرت العولمة والتي ترتب عليها ان بدأ العالم وكانه قرية صغيرة جدا خصوصا في ظل ثورة الاتصالات والانترنت فضلا عن زيادة حجم التبادل التجاري وتدفق رؤوس الأموال واتجاه غالبية الدول نحو سياية الاقتصاد الحر وحرية التجارة كل هذه العوامل خلفت البيئة المناسبة لظهور أنواع متععدة من الجرائم المستحدثة من أهمها غسيل الاموال وتندرج أهمية هذه الظاهرة من حيث كونها ظاهرة شغلت العالم على أساس أنهاجريمة دولية تفشت في عصر العولمة، وهي من أخطر الجرائم التي تهدد الأمن العالمي فضلا عن انعكاساتها الاقتصاديا المدمرة وتأتي أهمية الحديث عن هذا الموضوع من ارتباط المباشر بالنشاط غير المشروع ولاسيما ماتقوم به جماعات الإجرام المنظمة من أنشطة مختلفة أخذت تؤرق مختلفة الدول والمنظمات والهيئات الدولية ولاشك أن مثل هذه الجرائم تظهر في الدول الأكثر ضعفا والاقل صرامة في تطبيق القوانين والنظم كذلك تأتي أهمية الحديث عنه من خلال ارتباطه بظاهرة أخرى الا وهي الارهاب وهذا الكتاب يقدم توضيحا لمفهوم غسيل الأموال ويتناول تعريف الفقه له والتعريف التشريعي كذلك كما يبحث في في مراحل غسي الأموال كالإبداع والتعليم او التعيف التشريعي كذلك كما يبحث في مراحل غسيل الأموال كالابداع والتعتيم او التفريق والدمج او التكامل كذلك يشير الى الطرق التي تتم بها غسيل الاموال والتكييف القانوني له إضافة الى ذلك كله يقدم أركان جريمة غسيل الاموال وأخيرا يعنى بيان السبل التي اتخذتها وتتخذها ـ الدول المكافحه ـ هذه الجريمة.
