لقد صدرت في السنوات الماضية كتب باللغة العربية تشرح قواعد بعض هذه اللغات, لا سيما اليونانية والقبطية البحيرية , الا أنه لا تزال هناك حاجة ماسة الى كتاب يشرح قواعد اللغة القبطية في لهجتها الصعيدية , وهي اللهجة التي كتب بها كم عائل من تراث كنيستنا القبطية يعود الى زمن أقدم بكثير مما هو محفوظ باللهجات الاخرى . و الكثير من هذه النصوص القبطية الصعيدية لا تزال غير منشورة أو غير لقد صدرت في السنوات الماضية كتب باللغة العربية تشرح قواعد بعض هذه اللغات, لا سيما اليونانية والقبطية البحيرية , الا أنه لا تزال هناك حاجة ماسة الى كتاب يشرح قواعد اللغة القبطية في لهجتها الصعيدية , وهي اللهجة التي كتب بها كم عائل من تراث كنيستنا القبطية يعود الى زمن أقدم بكثير مما هو محفوظ باللهجات الاخرى . و الكثير من هذه النصوص القبطية الصعيدية لا تزال غير منشورة أو غير مترجمة الى اللغة العربية , فضلا عن أن قراءة هذه النصوص في لغتخا الأصلية كثيرا ما يميط اللثام عما يبدو في النص المترجم غامضا أو غير مفهوم , كما أنه يبين جماليات اللغة و بلاغتها مما تعجز الترجمة عن محاكاته , مهما بلغت قدرة المترجم و موهبته .
لكل هذه الاسباب يُعتبر هذا الكتاب عملا مهما يمهد الطريق أمام دارسي اللهجة الصعيدية من طلاب الجامعات و الدورات المتخصصة بصفة خاصة , ومحبي اللغة القبطية بصفة خاصة
