صدر عن وزارة الثقافة- الهيئة السورية للكتاب دراسة تحليلية لقصيدة بورخيس «فن الشعر» بعنوان «الأبدية الخضراء»، تأليف الدكتور نزار بريك هنيدي، حيث يسلط الضوء على الشاعر الأرجنتيني بورخيس الذي أفنى حياته ليشق طريق الإبداع بعد اطلاعه على مخيلات الفنانين والشعراء والفلاسفة والعلماء ليقدم ما لم يتمكن غيره من تقديمه، وذلك بالاعتماد على عدد من الكتب المترجمة عن شعر بورخيس وحياته.

ويركز هنيدي على تحولات حياة الشاعر الثقافية بشكل موسع إضافة إلى حياته الصحية والاجتماعية ثم يحلل نص القصيدة مرتكزاً على رؤيته للشعر من خلال موهبته وتجربته وتجربة الآخرين أيضاً، لطالما تناول الشاعر الشعر في كتبه ومحاضراته المتعددة وقال في إحدى محاضراته «أمضيت حياتي وأنا أقرأ وأحلل وأكتب أو أحاول أن أكتب واستمتع وقد اكتشفت أن هذا الأمر الأخير هو الأهم».
مما جاء في مقدمة الكتاب: (إننا نعرف ما الشعر. نعرف ذلك جيداً إلى حدّ لا نستطيع معه تعريفه بكلمات أخرى)، لذلك عندما حاول (بورخيس) مقاربة (فن الشعر) قام بتحويله إلى موضوع شعري لقصيدة، وبالرغم من أن الغاية من دراستها هي محاولة الوقوف على ملامح نظرية الشعر عنده، إلا أن كلّ كلمة أو صورة أو فكرة فيها تدفع إلى الخوض مجدداً في (المتاهات) التي تعجّ بها نصوصه، مما يجعل من تحليلها رحلة في عالمه الإبداعي والفكري في مجمله).
