هذا هو الكتاب السابع من "كتب دائرة المعارف الإسلامية" ويتناول موضوعاً من أهم الموضوعات الإسلامية وهو "تفسير القرآن الكريم"، وقد كتبه المستشرق "كاراده فو" وعلّق عليه تعليقاً مستفيضاً الأستاذ أمين الخولي. والتفسير كما يراه "كاراده فو" في هذا الكتاب يطلق على الشروح التي تكتب على المؤلفات العلمية والفلسفية، وفي الإسلام تدل على تفسير القرآن.
ويبين أيضاً أن العرب فهموا التأويل بمعان مختلفة كما يوضح أن نقول التفسير قد اتسعت للكثير من المرويات التي شملت مزيجاً متنوعاً من مخلفات الأديان المختلفة التي ترامت إلى علم العرب وهو يعرض أيضاً طرائق التفسير، والتفسير العلمي الذي حكم الاصطلاحات العلمية في عبارة القرآن والناكرين له من القدماء والمحدثين. ثم يعرض لألوان التفسير وخطة التفسير ثم ينتهي إلى القول بأن القرآن كتاب العربية الأكبر وموضحاً أثر ترتيب القرآن في تفسيره. وهذا البحث على صغره فإنه يفتح آفاق فسيحة من الدرس والبحث.
