في هذا الكتاب بيان لقواعد توزيع الأرباح والخسائر في مختلف الشركات، وتصنيف لرؤوس الأموال هام وضروري لتمييز طرق مكافأة كل نوع... فيه لمحة تاريخية هامة عن موضوع الربا والفائدة، وعرض لنظرية الإسلام وتمييز لها من نظريات الغرب والشرق وبيان لمكانتها ودقتها وتفوقها... إن هذا الكتاب هو أول كتاب يوفق توفيقاً علمياً موضوعياً منصفاً بين نزعتين متطرفتين: بين التبعية الكاملة، والرفض المطلق للنظام المصرفي وقضية الفائدة. فيه تصحيح لموافق الباحثين المسلمين من النظريات الغربية للفائدة وفيه نقد لهذه النظريات منصف وعادل، بلا إفراط ولا تفريط. فيه ردّ على من ادعى أن الفائدة "الربوية" ضرورة لا غنى عنها في الإقتصاديات المعاصرة. وفيه بيان لكيفية تمويل التنمية في الإسلام، ومساهمة هامة بمناسبة مشروعات البنك الإسلامي، وتساؤل حول هذه البنوك: هل هي ضرورة عامة مطلقة، أم لازمة من لوازم أنظمة وفلسفات معينة؟ في هذا الكتاب يدعو المؤلف لإعادة المواءمة بين الحقوق والاقتصاد، يدعو إلى اقتصاد حقوقي "عادل لا اقتصاد سياسي غاشم"…
