تقترب الحكاية هنا من نهايتها التى خرقت قوانين الرجل. طعنت ناموس كونه في الصميم. قلق يوما فجرا على صوت كأنه ترتيل ناعم خفيض يأتي من اتجاه النافذة انزعج انجذبت عيناه المخدرتان بتلقائية إلى القفص الحديدي الشاغر ثم إلى النافذة كان ضيائ القمر المكتمل قد ألقى على السماء غلالة شفافة ما ين اليقظة والنوم خيل إليه أنه يرى كائنا ضخما ذى جناحين وجسد غريب يشبه صورة العنقاء التى رآها وهو طفل في إحدى القصص الملونة كانت تقف على حافة النافذة تتطلع إلى الفضاء تتأهب لشئ ما بدا وجهها المستدير مألوفا تضيئة عينان رماديتنان تحجزان ماء كالبللور الرائق. ألقت القطيطات النائمات نظرة طويلة. انهمرت نقاط صغيرة متسارعة على الوجه المصلوب بنيران التحدي طارت..
