"يسعدني أن أقدم للقراء العرب ترجمتي لهذه الدراسة الموجزة والنادرة للغاية عن التنظيم الإرهابي المسمى بـ (حزب الله الحجاز) الذي لا يكاد يعرف عنه معظم المواطنين السعوديين والعرب شيئاً للأسف، رغم كونه عاث وعبث في البلاد السعودية فسادا وتخريبا، ونفذ تفجيرات إرهابية وإجرامية مؤسفة في مواقع صناعية حيوية كالجبيل والجعيمة ورأس تنورة في الثمانينيات ولم يرعو حتى بعد صدور عفو عام عن المعارضين الشيعة عام 1993، حيث اتهمته الحكومة السعودية لاحقا بتفجير أبراج الخبر الشهير عام 1996. ثم قام بعمليات اغتيال وحشية ضد دبلوماسيين سعوديين أبرياء كما سيرد في هذه الدراسة.وهي دراسة موجزة ولكنها شاملة وموثقة بصورة ممتازة للباحث السويسري الشاب بروفيسور توبي ماثيسن المتخصص في شيعة السعودية، وهو حالياً زميل باحث في الدراسات الإسلامية والشرق أوسطية في كلية بيمبروك بجامعة كامبريدج الإنكليزية العريقة. ويعتبر ماثيسن حالياً من أهم المتخصصين في شيعة السعودية، حيث كانت أطروحته للدكتوراه عن (الشيعة في المملكة العربية السعودية: سياسات الهوية، والطائفية، والدولة السعودية)، وهي الأطروحة التي حصلت على جائزة جمعية العلوم السياسية الأمريكية لعام 2012. وأصدر ماثيسن مؤخراً كتاباً مهماً: (الخليج الطائفي: البحرين، السعودية، والربيع العربي الذي لم يكتمل). ويصدر له قريباً عن قسم النشر بجامعة كامبريدج: (المذهب الشيعي والسياسات الطائفية في المملكة العربية السعودية). ومن العجيب والمؤسف والمؤلم، أن يحظى باحث سويسري بلقب أبرز متخصص في العالم حالياً في شيعة السعودية، ولا يحظى بمثل هذا اللقب باحث سعودي أو على الأقل عربي... ربما لأن مزمار الحي لا يطرب، مثل مزمار سويسرا!!!" - من مقدمة المترجم
