لم تكن غاية أهل "الملحق"، على مدى نحو من أحد عشر عددا (من 16/2/2003 الى 27/4/2003)، مشاركة العراقيين كوابيس آلامهم وخوفهم على مصيرهم فحسب، وانما، ايضا وخصوصا، تشييد فضاء وفي، ديمقراطي، حر، نبيل، وغير مبرمج، للتفكير والنقد بدون خلفيات وحسابات صغيرة ودنيئة. وذلك من اجل ان يكون هذا الفضاء بمثابة تحية عرفان من بيروت الثقافة الى بغداد الثقافة، ومحاولة متواضعة لاعادة الاعتبار الى الثقافة العراقية العريقة وآدابها وفنونها، وبهدف مقاومة كل اشكال الطغيان والظلم، بالشعر وبالحرية، وبلورة مواقف ثقافية جريئة ومشتركة، بين المثقفين العراقيين واللبنانيين والعرب، لتكون الصرخة فاعلة ومدوية، وان كانت ستكون صرخة مجروحة في غابة العالم "المتمدن". لقد احتضن "الملحق" في اعداده المذكورة اعلاه اشعارا ونصوصا ورسوما ومقالات وابحاثا لبعض كبار الشعراء والكتاب والفنانين والباحثين والمفكرين من العراقيين واللبنانين ولسائر العرب، بما يشكل وثيقة ضخمة يستطيع الرجوع اليها كل المهتمين بالشأن العراقي وبحقوق الانسان العربي وكرامته. ----------------- النصوص والرسوم لـ : كاظم جهاد، امين الباشا، جواد الاسدي، الياس خوري، جميل ملاعب، عقل العويط، سلام عبود، شاكر الأنباري، محمد علي الاتاسي، جبر علوان، صبحي حديدي، ديب حماد، منم الفقير، محمد الحجيري، عبد الرحمن الماجدي، هاشم شفيق، سعد هادي، فاروق يوسف، بلال خبير، جمال جمعة، ياسين الحاج صالح، مازن الرفاعي، فاروق يوسف، عصام الخفاجي، جمانة حداد، شوي بزيع.
