يدور موضوع الكتاب حول أحكام قانون حماية المستهلك، والذي يعتبر حديث النشأة في البلدان العربية. تأتي أهمية البحث في قانون لحماية المستهلك من حيث أنه يحمي مصالح معظم أبناء المجتمع حيث صار الجميع مستهلكون للسلع والخدمات، ولما كانت حماية المستهلك قد أضحت ظاهرة عالمية ومطلباً ودولياً. جاء هذا الكتاب ليضيء على جميع الإتفاقيات الدولية التي عنيت بتقرير تلك الحماية وأهمها المبادئ التي أقرتها الأمم المتحدة عام 1985 بموجب القرار رقم 347/39 إلى جانب إتفاقيات أخرى لدول الإتحاد الأوروبي: ومواقف المُشرع الفرنسي، وموقف التشريعات العربية وبالأخص ما عُني به المشترع اللبناني الذس سن تشريعاً لحماية المستهلك في عام 2005 وذلك بموجب القانون رقم 659 والصادر في 2005/2/4. تقسم الدراسة إلى أربعة أبواب يتفرع منها عدة مباحث وملاحق، جاء الباب الأول بعنوان تعريف المستهلك والمهني، أما الباب الثاني فجاء بعنوان: تنوير إرادة المستهلك (الإلتزام بالإعلام أو بالتبصير)، وبحث الباب الثالث في: حماية المستهلك أثناء تنفيذ العقد، ويأتي الباب الرابع ليبين: الحماية الإجرائية والإدارية للمستهلك، وأخيراً (الملاحق) وفيها نقرأ: 1-قانون حماية المستهلك اللبناني، 2-قانون حماية المستهلك السوري (القانون رقم 2 لسنة 2008)، 3-قانون حماية المستهلك المصري، 4-قانون حماية المستهلك الفلسطيني، 5-قانون حماية المستهلك قطر، 6-قانون حماية المستهلك عماني رقم 2002/81 بإصدار قانون حماية المستهلك.
